Since our rules meeting did not take place today, I am setting up this place for us to discuss our rules. I recommend a separate thread for EACH rule or topic being discussed. If you find that your discussion leads to another issue, please create a new thread for it.
Once we have decided on wording for a rule, I will create a poll where we can vote yay or nay on the proposal.
Greetings! So, in an effort to make things easier for all of you, I had agreed to take it upon myself, last year, to archive all the active rosters. In doing so, I determined that I didn't really have the time I had expected to do so, because not everyone would update in a timely manner, and therefore, I didn't always have the most up-to-date rosters on the site.
I would like to introduce an Emminent Domain rule. If an NHL player plays in a FOCH team owner's home city, that FOCH team should get to claim that player from its existing FOCH team by rule of "Emminent Domain". The league would then decide what the claiming team would have give back to the team losing the player.
So please, vote yes on this rule, and then decide what is fair that Ocelots would need to give back to Armada for Eric Staal.
I think I should be able to take Ownership of the trophy until JB can make it back to Boston. I will most likely see him first, so he can look at it through my car winshield since I probably wouls not have the strength to unlock the door for him, and to give up that beautiful heirloom. We all agree I should be able to be the league champ forever, right?
How do we keep Matt from winning another championship, and get the Primeau's (our Wayne and the flyers fomer player Keith)company "Fury" to be the primary sponsor for Matt's team?
My older proposal was 1st 2 picks of each round go to the new guys, with the order rotating. Matt should comment on his proposal, but I believe it has them drafting before the playoff teams and at the end of the round.
I agree w/ Mike that a guy must be in the league at least 1 full season before being put on the list. 3 is a reasonable amount of players on the list IMHO because it should only be the best of the best, or the guys that are the face of the franchise.
JB had an issue last year where he had to send an email 1 week to get his active roster in. He made no changes for several weeks after, but his active list "changed" because Mike went by what was on the website for the following weeks.
How do we avoid this issue in the future? Which takes precedence?
