John-Michael Liles garnered an assist on Thursday to set a Colorado Avalanche franchise record. It was the seventh game in a row that Liles had an assist, a record to start the season. Liles passed former great Peter Stastny who had the record of six consecutive games to start a season. Liles now has nine points in seven games to lead all defensemen in scoring in the early going and his nine helpers lead the entire NHL.
