Federation of Calculated Hockey, 2010-2011 Season

It is rumoured that the Ocelots' suddenly trade-happy GM offered Alexander Semin to the Fury for unproven, lawsuit-laden Ygeney Malkin.

Semin has scored 8 goals thus far, most being highlight variety. Although with 4 24 hour ESPN's presently, all goals end up on a highlight. If the uber-conservative Matt Frazier passes on the trade, it is expected that other teams will come calling on the talented winger. In fact, Mike Swartz is rumoured to be preparing to offer the very next player he plans on cutting in exchange for Semin.

p.s. The Ocelots GM approves of the gamesmenship involved

In a swift but expensive move, the Oregon IceCats signed Marc-Andre Bergeron, as well as Andrew Huthinson, to help fill in their failing defence. Upon arrival in Oregon, the two new members of the franchise were quickly put to work. Can they live up to the expectations placed upon them?

In other news, defencemen Pavel Kubina and Barret Jackman were placed on the IR, for a minimum of three weeks.

The lineup of the IceCats was put under extreme duress last week, as the two injured players were forced to play. However, Frazier has admitted to exploring new territory with last week's lineup, by expecting her top lines to produce more; a move that went unnoticed by some.

Ekman, Corvo, and Aucoin make their Chill debuts this week.

McCarthy is spreading around the responsibility and getting the team concept across as the Chill are tied for first.

Anybody else notice that Poolexpert can take up to 3 days to post a players stats? Liles 2 goal game showed up Friday, it happened Wed. Kolzig and Raycroft played early in the week and their 2nd game played on Thurs showed up before their first game did. This is very annoying.

And who is the Candy Ass that is responsible for putting Esposito on the Canadiens? This does not go over well in Kitchener and retaliation is in order. I'm sure the good people of Quebec City are annoyed at seeing their star player being assigned to that traitorous city of Montreal as well.

Watch the Chill pile up the points this year.

Defense and Goaltending so far are the highlights. With the exception of Jagr, I don't have the superstar on offense, but it should be enough to compete most weeks.

Hello,
Since I completely forgot to do so, can you all, with the exception of Dan, please forward me a copy of your Week 1 Active Roster so that I can archive it?

Thanks.

Poolexpert is set-up and is ready to go.

Go to poolexpert.com. I have set up all the teams. You will need to create a log-on using your email address by clicking on the “register” link. Once you have created a log-on, you can access the pool under pool name “foch”. You should leave the password blank. Please verify that your teams are correct.

The site has some new functionality this year which separates out scoring for active players from bench players. I have set up everyone’s active roster from the website. Each of you should have the ability to update your active roster each week by doing the following:
